About Me

 About Me

I find myself in my sixteenth year of education, ten of those abroad, and wholeheartedly know there is no other profession that has brought me as much satisfaction and purpose.

Over the years, I've had the privilege of teaching Kindergarten, 1st grade, and 4th grade students. However, my work has extended beyond the classroom, particularly in supporting STEM and innovation learning for grades K-5 as both an instructional coach and learning coordinator. Well-versed in Design Thinking, Makerspace Integration and NuVu Studio Design, I love developing integrated curriculum that is exciting and novel for both teachers and students.

My true passion lies in empowering teachers to embark on exciting educational journeys for their students. I am an advocate of constructivist teaching, firmly believing that students thrive when given opportunities to explore, inquire, and partake in novel experiences that ignite a lifelong love for learning. Furthermore, I am deeply committed to instilling values in our students that inspire an awareness to give back to the community they are in. I see our role as educators extending beyond imparting knowledge. We have the responsibility to nurture a sense of global citizenship in our students, motivating them to become active contributors who make positive impacts on the world around them. In doing so, we prepare them not just for academic success but also for a future where they can be catalysts for positive change in our ever-evolving world.

My commitment to lifelong learning has led me to pursue of a doctorate in Education. Through my studies at the American College of Education, I have been able to broaden my educational perspectives while deepening my understanding of the pedagogical theories that drive my educational beliefs. With this journey, I want to share my reflections and thoughts on different courses through the doctoral program. The purpose of this blog is to capture these reflections, creating a digital portfolio as well as a space to come back and review my documented artifacts.
